SKF linear actuator with Leeson 180VDC motor extends 150mm/6 from Vectrix lab
This listing is for one only actuator although 2 are shown in some photos. I obtained approximately 40 of these actuators new in a crate from Vectrix electric motorcycle Co. In New Bedford a while back. It appears they were custom ordered and Vectrix had planned on using them as a type of stabilizer on some future 3-wheeled electric bike. Feel free to provide any info on the intended use of these actuators if known.
Both look identical, however the'54' model moves faster at 10-18mm per second and has 562 lbs. The'53' model moves slower at 5 to 9mm per second and has 900 lbs.All the info I have obtained from the Mfr. SKF Motion Technologies in Pennsylvania over the telephone. I have no spec sheets on these at this time. They told me the motors were mfd. By Leeson and were a type used for certain aircraft seats and perform at half-speed of 3,000RPM instead of 6,000RPM. Please read the labels in photos for part numbers and more data. I will be doing an accurate count in the next few days and only today learned there were 2 types. Stay tuned for the updates. Hoping these will work well with someone designing/inventing electric vehicles or other high voltage DC machine(s).
