This actuator had an unusual designed job of moving a flat TV into a wall and out. It was never actually fully installed as during testing it literally shook the wall because of the very high acceleration the customer requested. Instead it just held the TV on the wall. The hardware consists of an Anorad LCK-1 iron cored linear motor, Nippon SGL-20 series hard chrome coated linear guides, a Sony Magnescale magnetic linear encoder with MJ100 interpolator.

The drive is a Copley Xenus XSL230-18. The test cables are present as well as the I/O breakout boards used.

The actuator has a current maximum stroke of about 87 depending on how the shock absorbers are adjusted. The guides are well aligned to the steel base plate and a cable chain is included for the power / hall effect / and encoder cables. There are bumpers and shock absorbers installed on both sides as well, however, there are currently no limit switches The 1/2 steel base steel plate was used for guide alignment and is reasonably stiff, but was intended to be secured to a thicker base for permanent use.
